ServSafe Practice Exam

Cookie Policy

Effective date: November 1, 2026 · Last updated: November 1, 2026

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on this site, what they do, and how you can control them.

No analytics cookie is set unless you switch it on. There are no advertising cookies today, and advertising cookies may be used only if you agree. Rejecting cookies does not change how the quizzes and mock exams work.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They let a site remember things between page views, and they let services such as analytics recognize a browser over time.

Similar technologies such as local storage and tracking pixels do comparable jobs and are covered by this policy too. Where we say cookies below, we mean all of these.

2. Strictly necessary storage

These are required for the site and your account to work and are used without asking. All of them are first-party browser storage. The practice ID and sign-in token are sent only to our own account service, to count your free use and keep you logged in.

If you choose Sign in with Google, Google's sign-in script loads on the account page and Google may set its own cookies under its own policy.

The sign-up, password reset, login link and mock exam forms load Cloudflare Turnstile, a security check that blocks bots. It is strictly necessary, so it loads whatever you choose in the banner.

3. Analytics cookies (optional, off by default)

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages and question topics are used, so we know where to add questions and what to fix. The data is aggregated and is not used to identify you.

The cookies below are set only if you press Accept. Until you do, Google Analytics does not load at all.

If you reject, or ignore the banner, nothing from Google Analytics loads.

4. Advertising cookies (planned, not in use)

There are no ads on this site today, and no advertising cookies are set. Advertising is planned.

Advertising cookies may be used only if you agree. Before any are used, we will add that choice to the banner, list the cookies on this page and ask you again. Your current choice about analytics cookies does not cover them.

5. How to give or withdraw consent

When you first visit, a banner at the bottom of the page offers Reject and Accept as equally prominent choices. Nothing from Google Analytics loads unless you press Accept. You can change your answer at any time with Cookie settings in the footer.

Accepting starts analytics straight away. If you later reject, we clear the analytics cookies and reload the page so the tag stops running.

You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link in the site footer.

If we make a material change to how we use cookies, we will ask you again.

6. Managing cookies in your browser

All major browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings, and offer a private browsing mode. Blocking all cookies may stop parts of this or other sites from working properly.

7. Changes to this policy

We update this page whenever the cookies we use change, and the Last Updated date above shows the current version.
